Root intrusion is the most common cause of drain blockages in sewer and stormwater systems, and it is one of the most destructive problems a property owner can face.
Trees have root systems that grow in search of moisture-rich soil and, unfortunately for homeowners, they are attracted to the humidity that forms on the crown of the sewer pipe.
This moisture develops on the crown of the sewer line through condensation. As warm air passes through a cold pipe, condensation forms and creates droplets along the outside of the pipe. These water droplets attract roots.
Once the roots find this source of moisture and nutrients, they travel along the pipes in search of more. Over time, microscopic roots find their way into the joints and penetrate between pipe sections, allowing them to continue growing until they completely block the line. However, there is a simple, effective, cost-efficient, and above all safe solution for your drains: root removal by foam injection.
